I would like to get a computer so I can chat on line with a friend that is a computer obsessive. What would you recomend? Buying new or used? Builting from scratch? or what? What kind of technique would you reccommed to get his attention away from the computer once in awhile too?

Sorry for the delay.. Well I would get a new one unless you know someone that is good with computers. Computers are really not that bad in price anymore. If you know lots about computers you can build one for much cheaper but if not the headache you would get isnt worth it..lol You arent going to need much just to get online and chatting.

As far as your last question im not sure ...haha Very Happy

might be kinda old but oh well i say go with a new comp, just not an overly priced one especially if its just for chatting and such...as for getting him away from it ummm i dunno find out his hobbies and try to do some of those i suppose?
