Ok I have had quite a few people ask about this website. The program that seems to worry people the most is a toolbar that shows at the bottom of the screen when using internet explorer. As well, this unwanted piece of software changes the home page to lop.com.

The main solution to this that I have come across is a program called messengerplus. This program, I use, as it gives some cool features for msn messenger that are not available with the regular msn messenger.

Some people, who have installed this program, accidently installed some extra software that mainly shows search bars. This also applies to alot of "freeware" available from the internet.

When installing msgPlus, be sure to read very carefully the questions in the setup. It asks if you would like to install "sponsor" programs. If you do not check the "no" button it will install the toolbars.

If you accidently install the sponsor you will need to uninstall msgPlus and it will ask if you want to uninstall the sponsors as well. Click to uninstall both. If you have tried to get rid of this Lop.com program using anti-spyware programs it will be corrupt and will not uninstall properly. So you need to reinstall the msgPlus with the sponsers. Then uninstall again and this time it should do the removal of the sponsers properly.

After all that reinstall the msgPlus making sure to check the "no" for the sponsors.

Hope this helps!.. the forum thread can be found at:

And the msgPlus home site: http://www.msgplus.net/

** This only applies to people who have installed the program "msgPlus"
